Robert W. Drushel, age 91, of Buchanan, MI formerly of Evans City, passed away Monday October 31, 2011, at his residence. Born in Evans City, August 13, 1920, he was the son of the late L. Phillip and Susan M. Berringer Drushel.
He had been a member of Farmington Presbyterian Church of Farmington, MI. Mr Drushel was a Electronic Engineer. He had worked for Firth Sterling in Pittsburgh. He was a research and development, retiring from Textron in MI. He was an inventor and held 17 U.S. Patents. He was a veteran of WWII, in the Air Transport Command and a member of the Hump Pilots Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife E. Jane Burlingham Drushel November 12, 1995, also two brothers, H. leroy and Harry V. Drushel.
He was the beloved father of, Deborah Paulette of Buchanan: Cherished grandfather of, Megan Place, Ben and Allison Paulette: and proud great grandfather of Josephine: 2 sister-in-laws, Louise Druchel of Evans City and Arlene Burlingham of Grand Rapids, MI.
A Graveside service for Robert W. Drushel who died on Monday October 31, 2011, will be held on Monday November 7, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Evans City Cemetery. Burial will follow.
