Eileen M. Platt (Migliorato) of Evans City, formerly Shaler Township, PA, passed peacefully into God’s loving arms on November 3, 2024.
Eileen was born on June 8, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Andrew Sr. and Esther (DePastino) Migliorato. She grew up in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania and graduated from Peabody High School where she met her loving husband of 60 years, Larry R. Platt, Sr.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Andrew (Lynn) Migliorato.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother Donald (Bucky) Migliorato, along with many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Eileen will be dearly missed and forever loved by her children, Larry (Lisa) Platt, Kimberly Platt, Sheri (Ray) Scott; her eleven grandchildren, Brittany (Cameron), Colin (Lindsey), Brandon (Jillique), Brian (Sara), Blake (Heather), Dalton (Gabby), Brent, Connor, Amarianna, Trent, and Reed; and her four great-grandchildren, Amadeus, Layton, Cody, and Autumn. May they forever cherish every memory made with her.
Eileen worked as a secretary at Glenshaw Glass Company for 20 years. After retiring and moving to Evans City, she continued to serve as a part-time secretary at Lutheran Senior Life Passavant Community in Zelienople. Eileen was a member of Saint Mark the Evangelist Parish – Saint Kilian Church, Cranberry Township, PA. She had an unwavering faith in God, and she enjoyed serving the Church and its community. She especially loved her many years of singing in the choir at Saint Bonaventure Church, Shaler Township, PA. Family was always Eileen’s priority, and she leaves them with beautiful memories of pizzelles, pasta sauce and manicotti, traveling, camping, bowling, and weekends at their vacation home at Conneaut Lake.
Family and friends are invited to attend Visitation for Eileen on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at A. Carl Kinsey – Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, Inc. 114 West Spring Street, Zelienople, PA 16063. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Richard Roman Catholic Church, Saints Mary and Martha Parish, 3841 Dickey Rd, Gibsonia, PA 15044 on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11:00 am. All attendees are asked to gather at the church before the service. Eileen will be laid to rest at Mount Royal Cemetery, 2700 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA.
