Karen Sue (Bond) Miller, age 75 of Cranberry Twp., passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at UPMC Passavant, McCandless Twp. surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 10, 1948, in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Floyd E. and Florence (Spencer) Bond.
Karen was raised in Evans City and was a 1966 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. For many years she was a homemaker and dedicated her time to raising her beloved daughters.
She then worked many years for Walmart, before retiring.
Karen enjoyed traveling with her husband Dave and during their travels they visited all 48 continental states. She loved to bake and be outdoors. Karen enjoyed planting and growing beautiful gardens of roses, daisies and vegetables decorated with wind chimes and gazing balls. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, loved to play cards and was seldom without a Pepsi in hand. Above all Karen loved her family and was affectionally referred to as “The Boss”. She always ensured her family was taken care of, happy, loved and most importantly together.
In addition to her parents Karen was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Sheila and Lanny Grenet of FL.
Karen was the beloved wife of David A. Miller; loving mother of Susan (Kenneth) Novak; Kathy (Donald) Schroeder; Sharon (the late Brian) Eddy and Bonnie (Mike) Pendergast; the cherished Grammal of Casey John (Katie), Jakob, Kennadie, Brittany (Brandon), Donovan, Alex, Jordan and Abigail; Great Grammal of Abby and Savannah; loving stepmother of Wes (BJ) Miller and step grandmother of Christopher and Harley.
She also is survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Rick Manuel and their sons, Matthew and Brandon and many other nieces and nephews all of whom she loved.
Private services are being planned for a later date.
