Margaret C. "Peg" (Graham) Marburger, 86, formerly of Evans City, passed away Wednesday, March 23 at Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony, Pennsylvania.
Born in Butler, March 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Josephine (Simmer) Graham, and wife of the late Lewis R. Marburger.
Peg enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, playing cards or bingo, and the 25 years she and her husband spent at Horseshoe Cove RV Park in Bradenton, Florida for the winter.
Peg was a past member of the Mary Grace Circle at St. John's United Church of Christ, lived at President's Square in Evans City, and enjoyed lunches and meeting new people at the Evans City Senior Center.
She worked as a young woman at the A&P in Butler, where she met her husband. They married on April 21, 1947. After marriage, Peg worked at the Treesdale Orchards in Connoquenessing and Thompson's Restaurant in Harmony. But, the most important job she ever did was raise her three children.
She is survived by one sister, Patty (Laverne) Wolfe of Butler; a son, Gary Marburger of Evans City; two daughters, Judy (Frank) Chilleo of Cranberry Township and Nancy (Ed) Miller of Evans City; six grandchildren, Steve (Laura) Wellhoner, Lesley (Dave) Kunkel, Heather Miles, Ben (Stephanie) Miller, Matthew Chilleo, and Jordan Marburger; and four great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryan, and Layla Wellhoner and Adrianne Lewis Kunkel.
Peg was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, April 23, 2011, at St John's United Church of Christ, 501 East Main Street, Evans City. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ.
A private burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.
