James R. English, 95 of Evans City passed away Monday afternoon May 31, 2021, In Quality Life Center, Grove City.
Born March 17, 1926 in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Crawford and Edna Baker English.
He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Evans City.
Jim was retired from J. & L. Steel, Aliquippa Works in 1985.
Jim was cheerful and always had a smile to welcome you.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during WW II. A member of American Legion Post # 474 Zelienople, he served as the Chaplin for many years.
He was also a member of V.F.W. Post # 499 Evans City. He also enjoyed bowling.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Bond English on April 27, 2005.
He is survived by three daughters, Wynonia (Gregory) Cecci, Washington, NC, Melinda (Charles) Kildoo, Hermitage and Pamela (Duane) Cummings, Barkleyville, two sons, James (Patricia) English, Harmony and Eric (Cheryl) English, Freedom, one sister, Phyllis Erdner of MD. And one brother Russell English of FL, 13 Grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, and a special friend and companion Dottie Davison.
Friends of James R. English who died Monday afternoon May 31, 2021 will be received Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday from the funeral home at 11:00 A.M.
Jim will be layed to rest beside his wife with full Military Honors in St. Peters Reformed Cemetery, Zelienople.
