David A. Grimes of Evans City formerly of Warrendale passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in UPMC Passavant, McCandless Twp.
He was retired from the Port Authority, where his job was collecting the receipts.
Born June 15 1948 in Pittsburgh he was the son of the late Arthur and Gladys Gentile Grimes.
He received the Purple Heart while serving in the U. S. Marines during the Viet Nam War.
David was very involved with local Veteran Groups. His favorite pastime was a family car ride. He also enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Lois E. Stout Grimes who he married October 20, 1978, two daughters, Brooke L. and Kate L. Grimes of Evans City, his mother-in-law Evelyn Stout of Ross Twp.
Friends and relatives will be received on Monday Jan. 11, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. till noon at The A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA. Funeral services will follow with Pastor R. Wayne Schar officiating.
