Peggy I. Bridge Double, 85, of Renfrew, passed away after a long battle with cancer, on Friday evening February 1, 2019 in the comfort of her home with her faithful companion Max, a Boston Terrier by her side.
Born August 26, 1933 at her family’s home in Strattanville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Constance S. Mullen Bridge.
She was a member of St. Johns Reformed Church of Butler.
Peggy loved being a Mom and most of all being called Gam by her grandchildren.
She loved riding motorcycles, traveling across the country, apple picking and BINGO. She never met a stranger and welcomed all warmly into her home.
Peggy was preceded in death by the love of her life, Conrad “Coonie” Double on June 5, 1997. Also, a brother, Fredrick Bridge.
Survived by four daughters, Connie (Robert) Gregor, Renfrew; Brenda (Thomas) Vesel, Renfrew; Pamela (James) Sauers, Butler and Amy Double, Meridian; two sisters, Diane (Melvin) Moser, Portersville and Sally (Hap) Pander, Lillyville; six grandchildren, Robert (Tina) Kirker, Jason Vesel, Tylor (Sarah) Sauers, Nicklas(Robyn) Sauers, Brennan and Eban Smith; four Great grandchildren, Drew, Kane and Khloe Kirker and Roman Sauers.
The family of Peggy Double will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday Feb. 6, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople.
Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
