Clair W. Drushel age 96, of Evans City, passed away on Tuesday evening December 25, 2018 in the VA Health Care, Oakland.
Born July 7, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha Schilling Drushel.
He was a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Connoquenessing.
He retired from ARMCO in 1983.
Clair served during WWII in the Medical Corp. driving ambulance. He was a member of the American Legion Post #219 Evans City.
He was a member of the Lunch Bunch.
Clair enjoyed wood working, making many items for family and friends.
He had enjoyed traveling and was a member of the Coachman Club.
Clair was preceded in death by his wife, D. Irene Zeigler Drushel on August 25, 1999.
Survived by one daughter, Barbara (Donald) Etter of Zelienople; one son, William (Marsha) Drushel of Lansing,MI., three grandchildren, Abigail (Nick) Mohrbacher of Rochester, Grant Etter of Zelienople and Derek Drushel of Grand Rapids,MI: two great grandchildren, Nora and Truman Mohrbacher and a dear and special companion, Dorothy “Toots” Higley of Evans City.
The family of Clair W. Drushel will receive friends and relatives on Saturday January 19, 2019 from 10A.M till noon at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople. A memorial service will follow at noon from the funeral home.
