William "Bill" Kati, 79 of Zelienople, passed away December 7, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on September 25, 1931, in Zelienople, and was the son of the late Charles and Emma Lorenz Kati.
Mr. Kati retired from Armco in Ambridge in 1985.
Bill served as a CPL in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Unionville American Legion Post #512.
Mr. Kati served as president of the Hungarian Club for the past 6 years.
He enjoyed planting his garden and sharing with his neighbors.
Mr. Kati was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife; Ruby C. Kennedy Kati, whom he married on August 3, 1955, one daughter; Ms. Karen Kati of Zelienople, one son; William W. Kati of Zelienople, two brothers; Dave Kati and John Kati both of Zelienople, and two granddaughters; Kayla adn Kendra Saeler.
Entombment was in the Zelienople Mausoleum.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
