Frank E. "Whitey" Grannon, 80 of Callery, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on June 30, 1930, in Zanesville, Ohio, and was the son the late Guy and Gertrude Woodward Grannon.
Mr. Grannon was of the Protestant faith.
He retired as a welder from Woodward Inc., in Mars with 26 years of service.
Mr. Grannon had been a boxer in the Lightweight Division at the Butler Cubs.
He was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers, and son-in-law, Don Christy.
Mr. Grannon is survived by his wife, Jean DeHart Grannon who he married on December 24, 1954; two daughters, Sherry Christy of Evans City, and Candy (Phil) Isaac of Evans City; one son, Frank (Andrea) Grannon of Harmony; eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of Frank E. "Whitey" Grannon who died on Saturday, November 20, 2010, will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2010, at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, Inc., 328 West Main Street, Evans City, PA 16033. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Plumb of Fountain Park Presbyterian Church of Cranberry Township will be officiating. Burial will be private.
