V. LaVerne Goodwin Bain , age 89, formerly of Zelienople passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 in The Grove (formerly Evergreen Nursing Center) , Harmony.
Born November 2, 1927 in White Oak, Allegheny Co., she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Violet L. Mains Goodwin.
LaVerne was a member of Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church.
She had retired from Mon Yough Community Services, Inc. as a counselor.
She was preceded in death by one son, Barth G. Bain.
Survived by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie J. Bain of Cranberry Twp.; three grandchildren, Victoria Bain, Parnell Bain and Michael (Danielle) Beres; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Brooks, Eva and Cooper; a niece and nephew, Carolyn Marts and William Marts.

Cremation arrangements were by the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA 16063.
