Lois I. Cashdollar Dittmer Thomas , age 94, of Penn Twp. passed away Friday night, November 25,2016 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford.
Born September 3, 1922 on the family farm in Mars, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Minnie Wise Cashdollar.
She was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers. She loved reading, especially her Bible.
Lois had retired from M.S.A. in 1984 with 34 years of service.
Lois loved working outside, doing the yard maintenance.
But most of all she loved spending time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Dittmer in 1950 and her second husband, William J. Thomas on January 31, 2007. Two sons, an infant in 1944 and Dennis Dittmer on September 16, 1997, also four sisters and four brothers.
Survived by her daughter in law, Janet Reading Dittmer of Mars; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Patrick) Cunningham of Rochester, Erica (Neil) Manzo of MD., and Danielle (Todd) Wearing of Mars; three great grandchildren, Riley Manzo, Colton and Peyton Wearing; one sister in law Betty Cashdollar, Valencia.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lois I. Thomas will be held on December 4, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in Old Union Presbyterian Church with Rev. Peter deVries her pastor officiating.
