Richard G. “Slim” Springer, age 68 of Butler passed away Thursday evening in VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born in Pittsburgh, December 8, 1947, he was the son of the late William and Marion Taylor Springer.
Slim retired Dec. 31, 2014 from Clark Enterprises Inc. in the parts department.
He not only enjoyed camping at the Kozy Rest Campground in Harrisville, but he worked there doing maintenance.
He was a great NASCAR fan. He was also a push truck driver at Lernerville.
Above all he enjoyed his grandchildren.
Survived by his wife, Nancy Mazuch Springer; one daughter, Lori (Brian) MacDonald of Valencia; three grandchildren, Samantha, Emma and Frederick.
Friends and relatives of Richard G. “Slim” Springer who died on Thursday will be received Sunday from 6-8 P.M. Monday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the A.Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA. Funeral Services will be at on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. from the Mars Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars, PA 16046 with Rev. Joseph Toomey officiating.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA 16001
