Grace S. Slater Parker, age 87 of Zelienople passed away Thursday evening in Allegheny General Hospital.
Born in Clarks Mills, Mercer Co., November 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Hilda Fisher Slater.
She was a member of the Dutilh United Methodist Church, Cranberry Twp., where she was very active in many of the church functions.
Grace worked for Leopolds in Zelienople after raising her children.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining, traveling, crafts, but her greatest enjoyment was her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel E. Parker and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel B. Parker who she married, March 3, 1950, one daughter, Beverly (Jeffery) Shaffer of Greencastle; one son, Tod (Tracey) Parker of Harrisburg; three sisters, Alice Henderson of Stoneboro, Mary Lewis and Joanne Giebner both of Sandy Lake; one brother, Keith (Pat) Slater of OH; five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives of Grace S. Slater Parker who died on Thursday will be received Monday from 10- 11 A.M. at Dutilh United Methodist Church,1270 Dutilh Rd., Cranberry Twp. Funeral Services will follow with Rev. Tom Parkinson her pastor officiating.
