Ralph E. Goehring, age 93 of Evans City passed away Sunday evening July 3, 2016 in the VNA Hospice, Butler.
Born in Cranberry Twp., January 8, 1923, he was the son of the late Clifford L. and Amanda Strable Goehring.
He was a member of St. Peters Reformed Church, Zelienople, where he often used his skills in woodworking to build items for the church.
Ralph retired from Mine Safety Appliance Co. as the maintenance supervisor with 30 years of service.
Ralph proudly served his country during WW II as a S.Sgt. in the Military Police.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. Smith Goehring on December 24, 2015; also one sister and three brothers.
Ralph is survived by one daughter, Debra Macino of Warren, OH; one son, James (Jeanette) Goehring of Evans City; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Private visitation and services were held on Wednesday at the A.Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA. Burial was made in the Evans City Cemetery.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Dr., Butler, PA. 16001
