James H. Goehring, age 90 of Renfrew formerly of Evans City went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday morning January 12, 2016 in Shelbourne Personal Care, Butler.
Born in Evans City, October 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Walter and Grace Ramsey Goehring.
He was a World War II Veteran, serving in Germany where he met his wife of 63 years. He proudly served his country.
Jim was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Evans City, where he served in many ministries especially enjoying children's church and AWANA Club.
He was employed by Adams Steel Erection as an Iron Worker and survived a five story fall in 1965.
He was preceded in death by his wife Genowefa Daszkiewicz Goehring on December 17, 2009, a grandson, Jeffrey Hixon and two sisters, Jean Herr and Iva Konrad.
Jim is survived by three daughters, Wanda (Wayne) Hixon of Penn Twp., Sandra Eisenhuth of Warren, OH and Barbara (James) Engemann of Tampa, FL; two sons, Garry Goehring of Tampa, FL and Jerry(Susan) Goehring of Clearwater, FL.; one sister, Eileen Bernd of Zelienople; one brother, Paul Goehring of Alamo, TX; 13 Grandchildren, James and Andrew Hixon, Ann Ayissi Essomo, Jodi, Joshua and Michael Tyron, Joseph and David Eisenhuth, Julie O'Malley, Jami Hanson, Heidi Yoder, Matthew and Chad Goehring; 26 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
A Private graveside service for James H. Goehring was held on Thursday in Brownsdale Cemetery.
The family of James H. Goehring will welcome relatives and friends on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church, 306 S. Washington St., Evans City. A Memorial Service will follow.
