Henry "Hen" D. Schmid, age 87 of Massilon, OH formerly of Callery, passed away Saturday December 19, 2015 in Canal Fulton, OH.
Born in Callery December 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Hans K. and Martha P. Metz Schmid.
He was a Methodist. While growing up in Callery, he was a member of Crestview Presbyterian Church.
Hen was an Advertising Manager Director of Marketing for Davey Tree Expert Co. for 41 years, retiring in 1994.
He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
He was an avid Hunter and often came back to Pennsylvania for hunting.
Hen was a member of the Cleveland Advertising Club and the Massilon Eagles Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Sue (Jeffrey) Kruse of Falls Church, VA; one sister, Betty S. Henry of FL. and one brother, Bruce K. Schmid of WA.; also nieces and nephews.
Friends of Henry D. Schmid who died December 19, 2015 will be received Monday, December 28, 2015 from 1-2 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA 16033. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 P.M.
