Bessie L. Lewis Griffith age 90 of Butler passed away December 7, 2015 in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Indiana Co., she was the daughter of the late Hugh. and Sarah Kirpatrick Lewis.
She was a Methodist.
Bessie enjoyed playing BINGO.
She was a loving mother and homemaker.
Bessie was preceded in death by her husband Edward P. Griffith, March 29, 2001, one son Thomas and a sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Sarah Griffith, Butler and Mildred (Richard) Cox, Renfrew; two sons, Robert (Roberta) Griffith, Evans City and Larry A. (Cindy) Griffith, Harrisville; two sisters, Mildred Powers, Rural Valley and Margaret Smyers, NY; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Friends of Bessie L. Lewis Griffith who died December 7, 2015 will be received Wednesday, December 9, 2015 from 1-5 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA 16033. Burial will be in Smicksburg on Thursday.
