James M. Double, 88 of Renfrew passed away Wednesday morning, May 13, 2015 in Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born July 11, 1926 in Connoquenessing, he was the son of the late James M. and Dorothy Hoffman Double.
Jim was of the Protestant Faith.
He had retired from ARMCO as a diesel train operator.
Jim served in United States Navy Seabees during WW II on Iwo Jima.
He loved to farm and be outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Wilda Schrecengost.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sylvia Ralston Double , who he married May 29,1976; two sisters, Wanda Faull and Evelyn Hockenberry, both of Renfrew; also cousins, nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes private services were held and Entombment was made in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mt. Chestnut.
