Willie H. Flint, 80 of Evans City passed away at his residence on Tuesday afternoon, May 5,2015.
Born February 23, 1935 in Clarksville, Ark. he was the son of the late Ellswarth and Martha Clary Flint.
Willie was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church, Evans City.
He had retired from Lava Crucible Refractory (now Vesuvius) in 1998 with 41 years of service.
Willie was a life member of Breackneck Beagle Club and a member of Coraopolis Beagle Club. He would run beagles in dog trials. He volunteered his time as a grounds keeper for the Beagle Clubs. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was always helping friends whether it was with Omar cutting meat or cutting trees and burning brush. He cherished time spent with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Ritzert and a great grandson, Austin Flint.
Willie is survived by his wife, Marilyn G. Rodgers Flint , who he married December 12, 1974; two daughters, Bonnie (Doug) Ritzert and Audry Oliastro of Evans City; two sons, Daniel (Cheryl) Flint of Renfrew and Darrel (Sheila) Flint of St. Petersburg, FL.; one sister, Ruby (Don) Melting of Fargo, ND; one brother, Jack Flint of Branch, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Marsha Frantz of Linesville; one step-son, Kevin (Lilianna) Finch of Hackettstown, NJ; three grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.
Friends of Willie H. Flint of Evans City, who died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 will be received on Friday May 8, 2015 from 1-3 & 6-8 P.M., at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. from Westminster Presbyterian Church, Evans City, with his pastor Rev. Thomas Harmon officiating.
