Evelyn J. Goehring, 93 of Evans City passed away Monday evening April 27, 2015 in St. Johns Specialty Care Center, Mars.
Born April 16, 1922 in Evans City, she was the daughter of the late Earl T. and Lois E. Ramsey Goehring.
Evelyn was a life member of the First Baptist Church of Evans City.
She had worked for Hawk's Cleaners in Evans City. She also had worked as a housemother at Erie Business School.
She enjoyed sewing for herself and others. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crafts.
She was preceded in death by one sister Myrtle Sutton and two brothers, Earl (Jr.) and Lyman Goehring.
Evelyn is survived by one sister, Janice (Steve) Pappal of Pensacola, FL; a brother-in-law, Bruce Sutton of Evans City, and a sister in-law Helen Goehring of Lakeland FL; and nieces and nephews.
Friends of Evelyn J. Goehring of Evans City, who died Monday, April 27, 2015 will be received on Thursday April 30, 2015 from 6-7 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Funeral services will follow with her nephews Pastor Wayne Sutton, Pastor Mark Emelander and Pastor John Barkley officiating Burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to CEF of N.E. Indiana, P.O. Box 362, Auburn, IN 46706.
