William J. Gaertner, age 69, of Harmony passed away Friday evening, Oct. 17, 2014 at his residence.
Born April 6, 1945 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Margaret I. Davis Gaertner.
Bill was of the Protestant Faith.
He had worked as a truck driver for Manheim Auto Auction.
Bill enjoyed walking his dogs, Sasha and Buster. He also enjoyed sports, going to the Library and Gambling. But most of all he treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Dunlap Gaertner on May 6, 2005 and one son, William "Billy" J. Gaertner Jr. Bill is survived by one daughter, Laura Marburger of Fenelton; one son, Arthur
(Linda) Gaertner of Harmony; three sisters, Peggy (Rich) Watson of Freedom, Linda (Bob) McAfee of Harmony and Karen (Greg) Gavulich of Ambridge; 5 grandchildren, Crystal (Bob) Grubbs and Stephanie "Sam" (Nick) Moran and two great granddaughters Mylee and Abby.
Gaertner Friends of William J. Gaertner, who died Friday, October 17, 2014, will be received on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6-8:30 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, Pa. Funeral Services will follow. Burial will be Wed. at 11:00 A.M. in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Twp.
