Lucille "Lu" Farnsworth , 88, formerly of Port Clinton,Ohio. Passed away peacefully on April 20, 2014, at The Lowrie House in Butler.
Born May 26, 1925, in East Palestine, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Freda Heck.
Lu was a graduate of Kent State University and belonged to the Delta Gamma Soroiety. She was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles.
She was a member of White Oak Springs Church, Connoquenessing, where she volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert H. Farnsworth and son, Craig Farnsworth. Also preceding her were two sisters, Eleanor Fugate and Miriam Dawley.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Robert) Tolles. Surviving also are her grandchildren Nicole (Chad) Wade, Zackery Tolles, Holly Tolles, Michelle (Hooman) Tashakor, Leah Farnsworth and David (Christina) Farnsworth and great-grandchildren Sierra, Caleb, Karida and Aiden.
Funeral will be at Lakeview Cemetry, Cleveland, Ohio on April 27, 2014.
A memorial service will be held at White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, Connoquenessing, at 1:00 pm May 3, 2014.
