M. Irene Bronson Zimmerman, age 94, of Zelienople, formerly of Erie, passed away Tuesday December 17, 2013, in Concordia of Cranberry Twp.
Born Setpember 25, 1919, in Blairsville, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Mabel Degitz Bronson.
Irene was a member of Luther Memorial Church, Erie.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Zimmerman who died in November of 2007, and infant daughter, one son, four sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Karen (Clair) Greenawalt of Zelienople; two grandsons, Matthew D. (Carely Parsons) Greenawalt and Brian W. (Alyssa) Greenwalt both of Zelienople.
The family of M. Irene Zimmerman, who died on Dec. 17, 2013, will welcome friends and relatives on Sat. Dec 21, 2013, from 2 to 4 at the Kinsey-Volz F.H. 328 West Main St. Evans City, PA 16033. Funeral services will follow at 4 P.M. with the Rev. Robert Keplinger, pastor of the English Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be on Mon. Dec 23, 2013 at 11 A.M. in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Erie.
