Thomas L. Gregory, age 94, of Renfrew died on Saturday morning December 14, 2013, in the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born April 20, 1919, in Butler, he was the son of the late George F. and Mary L. Michaels Gregory.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Connoquenessing.
Tom had worked for Treesdale Farms in Connoquenessing for 35 years. His job was taking care of the orchards. He later worked as a custodian for the Butler Area School District, retiring in 1988. He loved being around the children.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during WW II.
Tom also enjoyed hunting, gardening, and camping. He was a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane Johnston Gregory on October 3, 2008; one infant son, three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by one daughter, Carol (Roger) Kline of Renfrew; two grandchildren, Kelli (Josh) Mato of Butler and Chad (Wendy) Kline of Freedom; two great grandchildren, Janna and Gregory Kline; and a sister-in-law Marcella Johnston of Renfrew.
The family of Tom who passed away on Saturday Dec. 14, will welcome freinds and family on Monday Dec., 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Kinsey-Volz F.H., 328 W. Main St., Evans City, PA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 A.M. from the funeral home with the Rev. J Gary Brown, Burial will take place in the St. John's Cemetery.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
