Barbara A. Mahan Spangler Magill, 80, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Evans City passed away Monday December 2, 2013, in St. John's Specialty Care Center, Mars
Born in Evans City, July 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ada Marion Krietzburg Mahan.
Barbara was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church Mars.
She had worked as a unit clerk for Children's Hospital, Dayton.
She was a member of West Carrollton Chapter of O.E.S, the Keen Agers of Slippery Rock, PA attended the Evans City Senior Center and had been active in the Girl Scouts in Ohio.
She was preceded in Death by her parents, and by two grandsons, and one brother.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Magill, who she married September 14, 2003, three daughters, Rae Ann (Steve) Payne of Miamisburg, Karen (Howard) Updyke of Huber Heights, and Cheryl Clark of Daton; one son, Harold Spangler of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren, Melissa (Mike) Ginn, Lindsey Favorite, Talia (Graeme) Payne, Carrie (Andy) Howland, Kristi (Tom) Kaeff, Makia (Lauren) Parker, Danielle (Chip) Pederson, Kaitlin (Quentin) Dumas, Noah Spangler, Aislin (Justin) Spangler; and 11 great grandchildren. two step daughters, Marie (Tim) Barada of OH, and Betty (Robert) Cucaro of Harmony, five stepsons, Paul (Muriel) Magill and Kim (Beth) Magill both of NY, Mark (Judy) Magill of NC, Dan (Kathy) Magill of Merdian, and Boyd Magill of Evans City; 16 Step grandchildren and 8 step geat grandchildren.
Friends and relatives of Barb who died on December 2, 2013, are welcome to a visitation from 10-11 A.M. on Dec. 16, 2013, at Old Union Presbyterian Church, Mars PA, a Memorial Service will follow.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
