Donald P. Sherman, age 79, of Gibsonia, PA, died Saturday morning, Oct. 5, 2013, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family.
Born November 15, 1933, in Washington, PA he was the son of the late Henry W. and Katherine Bice Sherman.
Mr. Sherman was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.
He retired in 1993 with 30 yeras of service for PAT as a bus driver.
He enjoyed watching wrestling and westerns, playing cards, going to the casino and traveling.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Elva L. Dennett on Feb. 13, 2009; one son, Donald P. Sherman Jr. one brother, Walter Sherman and one sister, Colleen Cramer.
Don is survived by his three daughters, Priscilla (Charles) Batykefer of Mars, Katherine (David) Curtis of Sun City, AZ, and Judith (Drew) Sunquist of Valencia; one son Thomas Sherman of Gibsonia; one brother Richard (Majorie) Sherman of McDonald, PA, 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
The family of Donald P. Sherman, will welcome friends on Tues. Oct. 8, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kinsey-Volz Funeral Home Inc. 328 West Main St. Evans City PA 16033, Services will be Wed. at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown at 11:00 a.m.
