Henry L. Burkett, age 86, of Zelienople, passed away Friday morning, September 13, 2013, in Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born September 17, 1926, in Harmony, he was the son of the late William E. and Olive L. Byers Burkett.
Henry had retired from J&L Steel in the Chemistry Lab with 15 years of service.
He was a member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church.
A veteran, he served during WW II
Henry will be dearly missed, by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Anne Shimer Burkett on April 10, 2010; two sisters and one brother.
Surviving are three sons, Gregory L. of Warren, Randy J. of Harmony and Scott (Aileen) of Maine; also two grandchildren.
The family of Henry L. Burkett, will receive friends and family on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kinsey-Volz F.H. Inc., 114 West Spring St., Zelienople, PA 16063, funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home with Rev. John Jefferis his pastor officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh Street, Zelienople, PA 16063.
