Yvonne "Vonnie" J. Hogan Palmer Beight, age 85, of Zelienople, passed away Tuesday evening June 25, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospice House, Wexford.
Born August 3, 1927, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Anna Hogan Stewart.
She was a life member of the Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. Vonnie also taught Bible Class in her home. Vonnie later taught Bible Study at First Baptist Church, Fombell.
Vonnie was a devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Palmer, one daughter, Patricia E. Palmer Duerring and one brother, Gerald Hogan.
Vonnie is survived by her husband, Fred M. Beight, whom she married September 11, 1993; five daughters, Deidrea Palmer Mulroy, Citrus Springs, FL, Susan (Gregory) Palmer Law, Bradfordwoods, Lori Palmer (Francis Cannon) Colao, Morrisville, Lonna Palmer (Cameron) Bauer, Ponte Vedro, FL, and Sheri Dawn Palmer (Albert) Buch, Calcutta, OH; one son Dennis J. (Brenda) Palmer, Ellwood City; three step sons, Michael (Cindy) Beight, Minerva, OH, Scott (Yvonne) Beight, Grant MI, and David (Irene) Beight, Zelienople; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren.
The family of "Vonnie" will welcome friends and family on Thursday June 27, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Kinsey-Volz F.H. 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA 16063. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M. from Harmony-Zelienople Methodist Church.
