Shirley J. Kriess Barr, age 74, of Butler, passed away Friday evening at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born October 3, 1938, in Connoquenessing Township, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Gertrude Saylor Kriess.
She was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Merdian.
She retired from Plaza Maintenance
She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by her husband Robert Barr, whom she married in 1960; two daughters, Sandie and her husband Ronald Lefever of Connoquenessing Twonship, and Robin and her husband Eric Mock of Penn Township; three grandchildren, Ashley and Hunter Lefever and Jacob Mock; three sisters, Eleanor "Sis" Critchlow of Renfrew, Suzanne Weiland and Marlin Guest both of Butler; six brothers, William Richard "Dick" (Shirley) Kriess of Indiana, Jack (Jane) Kriess of Renfrew, Gary "Butch" (Diane) Kriess of Connoquenessing, Henry "Cork" Kriess, Ronald "Pete" (Sally) Kriess, and Larry Kriess all of Butler, also many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2013, at 4:00 P.M. at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler PA 16001.
