Mary A. West Weisz age, 79, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday morning June 6, 2012 at Carriage Court, New Castle, with her loving family at her side. Born in Franklin Township, on December 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Dorothy A. Daufen West Jr.
Mary was a member of Camp Run United Presbyterian Church, Harmony. Mary retired from the Catalogue Dept. of J.C. Penney's, Ellwood City, after 22 years of service.
She enjoyed Scrable and Crossword Puzzles and singing with the West Family. She also loved the Pittsburgh Sports.
She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Thomas; 1 great-grandson, Gavin; and a son-in-law, Mark.
She is survived by her husband Carl E. Weisz, whom she married April 6, 1956; one daughter, Diana "Dee" Ferrante, of New Castle; four sons, Dale (Beth), and Joseph (Jenny) both of Ellwood City, William (Nancy) of Fombell, and Charles (Karyn) of New Castle, Five Sisters, Jean (Herbert) Swick and Lois (David) Peoples both of Fombell, Rosetta Herbert of New Castle, Edna (Larry) Brown of Flagstaff, AZ, and Ruth (Emery) Cortez of Ellwood City; two brothers, A. Gary (Martha) West of Fombell and Boyd (Brenda) West of Beaver Falls; 11 grandchildren, Richard (Shannon) Myers, Chad (Christine) Myers, Dale (Katie) Jr., Joshua (Morgan), William Jr., Joyce, Ann, Charles (Sam), Christopher Weisz, Deeanne and Alicyn Ferrante; 4 great-grandchildren, Madison Myers, and James R. Courtney-Myers, Sofia and Anderson Weisz.
Friends and relatives of Mary A. Weisz, will be received on Friday June 8, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home Inc. 114 West Spring Street, Zelienople, PA 16063. Services will be held on Saturday, June 9, at 11:00 A.M. from Camp Run Presbyterian Church, 489 Church Road Harmony Pa 16037.
