Anthony S. Hussar age 91, of Zelienople passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Butler V.A. Medical Center.
He was born on November 6, 1918, in Zelienople and was the son of the late Andrew and Rose Abraham Hussar.
Mr. Hussar was a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.
He was retired from J. & L. Steel in Aliquippa.
Mr. Hussar served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Evans City-Harmony V.F.W. #499, a Life member of the Mars V.F.W. #7505, and American Legion #0512 of Unionville.
He was also a member of the Hungarian Club of Zelienople.
Mr. Hussar was preceded in death by his wife Helen L. Gaal Hussar in 1971, three brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda (Tim) Walker of Zelienople, three sons, Kip (Connie) Hussar of Gresham, Oregon, Dennis (Vicki) Hussar of Zelienople, and Kevin Hussar of Zelienople, numerous grandchildren, Megan and Noah Hussar of Oregon, Jason Bankert of Fombell, Alexa Hussar of Virginia, Brett (Jennie) Walker of Vermont, and Ian Walker of Zelienople, and a man's best friend...Bandit.
Friends and relatives of Anthony S. Hussar who passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, will be received on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Spring Street, Zelienople, PA 16063. A mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople with the Father Robert Miller, his pastor, officiating. The burial will follow in St. Gregory Cemetery of Zelienople.
The family has suggested memorial donations be made to Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
