Natalia "Tala" Kosanovic Carter, age 85 of Zelienople formerly of Evans City, passed away Saturday morning March 5, 2011, in Passavant Retirement Center, Zelienople.
Born September 27, 1925, in Aliquippa, she was the daughter of the late Branko and Savka Milanovich Kosanovic.
Mrs. Carter was a member of Westminister U.P. Church, Evans City. She retired from Seneca Valley School District, where she had taught in the Evans City Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards, but especially loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Julian Carter Jr. on December 10, 1997. She is survived by four daughters, Nancy Ann (Mark) Mills of Chagrin Falls, OH, Carole (Martin) Schriefer of Fort Collins, Colo., Linda (Edward) Dengel of Zelienople, Mary (Gustof) Carter-Johnson of Clarion, one sister, Shoy Campbell of Richmond, VA.
Relatives and friends of Natalia "Tala" Carter, who died Saturday March 5, 2011, will be received at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home Inc., 328 West Main Street, Evans City PA 16033, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday March 11, 2011. Services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. from the funeral home with the Rev. John Park, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Evans City Cemetery.
